What kind of internet connection do I need?
<Back to the
top>
That all depends
on how you want to stream.
If you Stream from a on demand file like a play list or wma
file. It does not matter what kind of Internet connection
you have. Because you will be up loading the file to our
server. But the slower you connection the long it will take
to up load the file.
Now if you are
wanting to stream live we recommended that you have one of
the following connection.
Cable, ADSL,
ISDN, or T-1
5.
Do I need a server?
<Back to the
top>
No, but if you
are streaming live you will need a streaming computer.
We recommend the
minimum configuration: 300 MHz processor, such as a Pentium
II or AMD. Windows 98 Second Edition or newer. 128 MB of
RAM. Supported audio capture device (Sound Card).
If you are
streaming audio and video live.
We recommend the minimum configuration: 700 MHz dual
processor or higher, such as a Pentium III, or a 1.5
gigahertz (GHz) processor or higher, such as a Pentium IV .
Windows 2000. 256 MB of RAM. Supported audio and video
capture device.
6.
Do I need Any Software?
<Back to the
top>
You will need to use
Windows Media Encoder
9 to encode and broadcast your stream. If the streaming PC
is using Windows 98, use
Windows Media Encoder 7.1 to encode.
If your internet connection is using a
dynamic IP address, you will also need to install a free
client update utility. We recommend:
no-ip.com
or
dyndns.org.
7.
If so how much does the software cost?
